Part 1 is the first 3700 words of a new romantic adventure in development featuring heroine Willow Reade, 24, a strikingly lovely doctoral student in Cambridge's English Literature Department. Her confidential and budding romance with Professor Joshua York is about to take some incredible turns as she finds herself facing the challenge of her life- to prove an earth-shaking secret about one of Scotland's most revered literary figures.
Here's a sample:
He confessed deep yearning for her, his desperate and unbridled love for her, and his undying commitment to love her with all the power, strength, and fortitude he could muster for the rest of his days. It was that night that she willingly gave herself to him, every last part, parcel, and a bit of her mind, body, and soul.
“You need another pair for bridge?” she heard Joshua respond to another couple, both professors in Maths. Joshua Ellerington York, you had better not! Not tonight! She thought.
“Wednesday evening would be lovely.” He replied to them.
Wednesday is fine; any day is fine. Tonight belonged to her….to them.
Finally! They were off and their footsteps echoing as they trod, crunching the grey slate and gravel footpath stones that would eventually lead them to the college’s blacktop lanes adorned with white boundary lines and yellow caution lines and ultimately onto her cozy flat.
“So sorry to tear you away from the power elite, Joshie!” Willow cooed, crouching forward a bit.
Joshua arched his eyebrows. “Silly Wills, I am always at your service, my lady!” He replied, emulating a Royal Palace guard. He attempted an acapella “God Save the Queen” Freddy Mercury style. Willow chuckled and squeezed his arm. A man of great talent was Joshua York, but a rock singer, he was not!
